You Don’t Have To Get “In Shape” To Go To The Gym

Just a little reminder for those who are wanting to go back to, or get started at a gym…

You do not have to “get in shape” to go to the gym.

The gym is for getting in shape.

Just like you don’t wait to take guitar lessons until you magically learn how to play, you start playing the guitar and learn while doing.

Ideally, you do it with a Coach by your side every step of the way and others who are doing it alongside you, supporting you every step of the way.

That’s the path, you take that first step on day 1, you get a Coach, you take lessons and you stay consistent with your new habit until it becomes your new identity.

It doesn’t matter where your current level of fitness is, or what YOU think “in shape” means.

You have every right to be in the gym, take up space, ask the questions, hire a professional, use the equipment, etc etc just like anyone else.

The gym is a place for everyone, and it’s especially a place for people who are trying to get healthier no matter what stage you’re at.

If the gym you’re in is not excited to have you starting something new then it likely isn’t the best gym for you.

Make a plan to hit the gym this week.
