What if this year were different?
I was talking with a friend recently and I noticed that she seemed to have more energy, seemed to be more confident and she was wearing clothes I had not seen her wear in a while. I asked her if she was doing something different and she said she decided to prioritize her health. She added a 30 minute workout to her morning routine and was making food choices that moved her in the direction of her goals.
Then she said something that has echoed in my head for the last few weeks.
She realized if she wanted this year to be different than last year, she had to make different choices.
This is so true! How many of us set goals or make resolutions or simply say this year/month/week will be different but we make the same choices that have kept us from reaching those goals for a long time.
What if this year were different?
We are a little less than halfway through this year and there is still plenty of time to meet those goals before the calendar flips. We will have to make different choices. We will have to add new habits and perhaps break some old habits.
You can start this week, you can start today. It doesn’t have to be the beginning of the year, beginning of the month or even the beginning of the week to make a fresh start on your health and wellness.
