The Power of a Growth Mindset

Have you ever felt stuck? Have you had a health or fitness goal and then you got sidetracked by the things of life. Have you or someone in your family got sick, you went on vacation, an extra project came up and your gym time became your overtime at work? These regularly events and many more are the things of life. Things that will continue to sidetrack our progress if we don’t take control of our mindset and start responding instead of reacting to them.

You don’t have to stay stuck! You can change your life and move toward your goals one step at a time. Ditch the all or nothing mindset and embrace a growth mindset.

What is a growth mindset? It is taking the day to day things that happen and changing your perspective on them. 


Instead of reacting and seeing adversity in life as obstacles, look at them as a springboard for growth and development. It is important to acknowledge not just the successes but also the failures in life because you will learn something from each. There is no failure, just learning and growth opportunities.


Ask yourself: 

What am I learning from this? 

What is one small thing I can change to make this better? 

When I am faced with this situation again, what will I do differently?
