Nutrition Challenge WINNER! Kelly Head!

Earlier this year several people decided to make an investment in their health and nutrition and participate in the winter nutrition challenge.

During the 28 day challenge they worked on habits to improve their protein, vegetable and water intake, increase their daily movement and be more consistent in their sleep habits. Our participants encouraged one another in a group chat and benefited from the support and accountability of having a coach check in on their individual progress. While all of our participants checked off habits and increased their health and wellness, the person who was the most consistent in checking off habits over the 28 days was Kelly Head! She not only developed better habits in all the areas mentioned, she also earned a free month of one on one nutrition coaching and is experiencing even more benefits with having an individualized program focused on her goals.

Here is what Kelly shared about her experience:

1. What prompted you to join the nutrition challenge?

” I’ve always had a pretty healthy diet but I felt like I could still improve in a few areas and tweak a few things to make it better. I was looking to incorporate more protein into my diet and the recipes and tips I learned through the challenge made this easier to achieve.”

2. What did you learn during the challenge?

” I learned to incorporate healthy habits into my everyday life. For example, drink one full water bottle before eating or having any coffee in the morning. This has gone a long way to helping me meet my hydration goals. I also found some easy ways to increase my protein intake at every meal and snack. There were some super easy protein packed recipes on the app and I have worked these into my meal planning rotation. “

3. What would you tell someone who is considering signing up for a nutrition challenge?

“I would say go for it even if you think you have a pretty solid diet. I got some great tips from EJ and also from the other participants. I got some good meal/snack ideas from other participants and it was fun to interact and cheer each other on in the group chat. There is always something to learn and improve about our diets and this is a great way to jumpstart the process. I liked how the challenge did not focus on eliminating any particular foods but instead on how to add habits that will improve our overall diets. “
