JENNY HAGY- MEMBER OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY 2026

FEBRUARY 2026

This month’s member spotlight is on the focused, hardworking, and always friendly Jenny Hagy!

Jenny got her start at Fit2Live in September of 2023, looking for a community to help her stay consistent with her health goals and coaches who could guide her toward the next level of fitness.

In just a short time, Jenny has become a natural fit in our down-to-earth community, bringing great energy, effort, and kindness into every class she attends.

She shows up consistently, works hard, and continues to build real strength and confidence—she is a proud member of the 250 class club and is fast approaching the 500 class club!

Outside of the gym she is a kick ass mom, actress and consultant.

Whether she’s pushing herself through a tough workout or supporting the people around her, Jenny embodies what Fit2Live is all about.

For these reasons and many more, Jenny has been chosen as our Member of the Month for February!

Tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from, what you do outside of Fit2Live, family, hobbies, etc.

I’m a native Michigander, born and raised in Ann Arbor. I grew up on the west side of town and went to Pioneer High School. I moved to the East Coast for college, attending Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, before spending a year in Chicago, then returning to Ann Arbor. I live in Ypsilanti with my husband, Ryan, our daughter, Layla (9), and the most handsome chocolate lab you’ll ever meet, Powell. I spent 15 years working as a Marketing and Brand Manager, mostly in sports, entertainment, and education, before leaving full-time work a few years ago to pursue acting. Now, I split my time between acting and freelance marketing consulting.

I watch a lot of TV and movies, and listen to even more podcasts about them. I love traveling, concerts,  theater, hanging out with my family, and eating good food. One of my favorite ways to spend an evening is dinner and a show, preferably in New York City.

When and why did you get started at Fit2Live?

I started at Fit2Live in September 2023. I was a member at a small gym in Ann Arbor called Kin Movement for a couple of years. It’s where I learned the basics of weight training and built my foundation for the workouts we do at F2L. The gym closed during COVID, and I took some time off from being a member anywhere. After about a year of strictly running, I wanted to get back into a consistent strength-training routine. I went to F45 in Ann Arbor for a few months until they closed, and I was back at square one. I had never done CrossFit, but it seemed like the closest thing to what I’d been doing, and I had always wanted to give it a try. I tried a couple of gyms in the area, but F2L prevailed, and the rest is history.

What is your favorite part of Fit2Live, what keeps you coming back, and what is your favorite memory at Fit2Live so far?

The workouts that kick my ass and the people. F2L is by far my favorite gym I’ve ever been a member of, and a big part of that is the crew of long-time members who make it feel like home. You just don’t find that everywhere.

You are an actress in your spare time. Tell us about that world, how did you get into it, what ambitions do you have, what has been your best gig so far? What is one thing you’ve learned in your acting career that surprised you? Anything else you’d like to share?

I started acting in 2019. People often ask me why I started acting, and I always feel a little weird about this answer, but it’s true. I felt called to it. I hadn’t done any acting since I was a kid, but I was at a stage in my life when my daughter was old enough that I felt like I could take a little space, and I needed something that was for me. I have always loved stories, and acting was what drew me in. I tried it, loved it, and my life hasn’t been the same since. It started as a hobby and quickly grew into my primary vocation. My goal is to be a full-time working actor. I have no desire to be famous, but I do want to be great. So far, the “best gig” I’ve had is a small role on Chicago PD. That was pretty sweet, but I hope, just the beginning. I am proud to have joined SAG at the end of 2025, and am excited for what 2026 has in store.

One thing I’ve learned, so far, in my acting career that has surprised me is that being a great actor isn’t just about your ability to play other people believablty, it also means being able to uncover and emphasize the things that make you unique and special, which is actually harder than pretending to be someone else.

You are a regular nooner for your workouts. What do you like about working out with the crazy nooners, and if the noon class were a TV show OR movie, what TV show OR movie would it be?

Noon is where it’s at. It’s a tight-knit crew that’s been together for a long time, and I like being around that vibe. Not to mention, they are strong and fast, and they push me to be stronger and faster. And, you can’t beat a class with two Jennys. Shout-out to Jenny Melchi, the OG Jenny and my gym Jen-tor (get it?…not mentor…but…you get it).

If the noon class were a TV show, it would be called The Gym, and it would be shot mockumentary style like The Office.

What is a fun fact or hobby that you have that someone might not know about you?

A fun fact about me is that I failed gym senior year of high school and had to take it in summer school so that I could get my diploma. It’s not that I couldn’t “do gym”; it’s that gym was 4th hour, and we were allowed to go off campus for lunch, and at the time, I had better things to do. I started taking fitness more seriously in college.

If you could travel to any place in the world tomorrow, where would you go and why?

Cala Goloritzè, in Italy. Why? Because I love the beach, and Italy is the best.

If you could make the workout “Jenny”, what would it look like (movements, repetitions, etc)?

Oh, this is tough. It would involve running, deadlifts, and pistol squats.
