This is Katie.
She started personal training at Fit2Live when she was experiencing back and shoulder pain in April of 2023.
Katie decided to start with 1x a week personal training sessions to get individualized attention on her irritations that were creeping up while maintaining her group class schedule of 2-3 classes a week.
Coach Brandon and Katie got right to work tackling those irritations.
Early in her PT journey she suffered a bad luck foot injury and was in a boot for 2 months.
For most, this would have been a great excuse to abandon goals and to sit back and relax.
Lucky for Katie she was able to pivot her sessions with Coach Brandon to focusing on an individualized workout to keep her moving with the other 75% of her body, ensuring that she would not lose her progress and her strength.
After overcoming her foot injury while continuing to make progress with the rest of her body Katie decided to continue to utilize Brandon to prepare her to compete in masters competitive swimming with her eyes ultimately set on the Canadian and US Nationals.
Fast forward to today and not only has Katie overcome her foot injury but she also took first place at State and qualified for the US Spring Nationals in masters swimming!
Katie continues to attend group classes 2-3x a week while utilizing personal training as a way to hone in on her specific goals and any irritations that pop up in her active lifestyle.
Personal training helped Katie reach her goals faster. It ensures that she takes less steps backwards when setbacks pop up.
Amazing work Katie!
Keep kicking butt at Fit2Live!
From Katie:
Thanks for all you did to help me get back on track after my foot injury and ultimately help me prepare for my swim meet this past weekend Coach Brandon. I dropped time in all of my events and even took first place in the 200 individual medley! So I’m a state champion swimmer!
2 more meets to go…Canadian nationals and US Spring Nationals.
