MAY 2026
This month’s spotlight is on the very driven, soft spoken but energetic, and all-in Alan Poslaiko!
Alan got his start at Fit2Live in June of 2024, and from day one it was clear—he was hooked on Fit2Live.
What started as a search for better coaching, more functional movement, and a stronger community quickly turned into a full commitment to leveling up his fitness.
Alan came in with a solid routine already, but he knew he was missing something. At Fit2Live, he found structure, coaching, and a community that pushed him to take things to another level.
He hasn’t looked back since.
Alan is a regular in class 5–6 days per week, bringing energy, effort, and support to everyone around him. He’s always seeking more quality coaching feedback to make him 1% better. He’s not just focused on his own progress—he’s the kind of member who makes the entire class better.
In a short amount of time, Alan has accomplished some impressive things:
- Fast approaching 500 classes!
- Added plenty of functional muscle and decreased non functional bodyfat.
- Competed in his first Fall Brawl Competition and other weekend CrossFit competitions.
- Earned his CrossFit Level 1 Coaching Certification.
- Built a consistent, high-level training routine that is well rounded.
What really stands out about Alan is his enthusiasm for the process. He doesn’t just show up—he leans in, learns, improves, and embraces every part of the journey.
Alan is the perfect example of what happens when you combine consistency, coachability, and community.
For these reasons and many more, Alan has been chosen as our Member of the Month.
Way to go, Alan. We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far and can’t wait to see what’s next on your fitness journey.

Tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from, what you do outside of Fit2Live, family, hobbies, etc.
I am a pretty quiet unassuming person. I was born and grew up in Detroit until I was 7. We moved out to Tecumseh until I moved to Ann Arbor to go to school. I originally went school and and graduated in the field of criminal justice. I never took a job in that field but instead worked in the food industry. Everything from a chief, baker, remodel specialist, all the way to the lead cheese buyer. I eventually found my way into the Aviation industry where I am currently working. Outside of work I am very active. I love to be outside with my 50 lbs Weiner dog mix Duke or working out. Staying rounded is important to me so every 3 months I take a couple week long art class. My last one was pottery throwing which is much harder than it looks. Besides that I like to go out with friends and love live music.

When and why did you get started at Fit2Live?
I’ll officially have been working out at Fit2live for 2 years now in July. I was looking for a new challenge, I have always been very active and trying different types of fitness any where from biking to running and weight lifting. I did obstacle course racing for awhile as well. I wanted to try a group class and thought that I might be good at some functional fitness. My only regret was not trying this sooner!
What do you like most about Fit2Live, what keeps you coming back?
I love the community and the coaches. The atmosphere is great cause you can show up and yap with people, you can come in and absolutely kill yourself and push yourself past your limits or you can do both! I have to say the variety of the work outs helps. Being able to do things from traditional CrossFit to power lifting to fun partner workouts. I also really like that each coach has their own styles and I have learned so much from them.

What is a fun fact or hobby that you have that someone might not know about you?
I used to be a professional confectionery baker in another life and just for all the magic the card game fans at the gym I was ranked the 35th best duelist in the world for awhile in yugioh when I was much younger.
What does a perfect day look like for you from start to finish?
Not usually a morning person so sleeping in. Taking some time having a morning coffee and going on a long morning walk with my dog. Working out then a nice lunch. Spend the afternoon in the park. At night dinner and drinks with friends and a concert to finish the night.

If you could travel to any place in the world tomorrow, where would you go and what would you do?
Nepal is my bucket list location to travel. I would love to hike in and around the Himalayas. I also want to visit Lumbini and walk to Kora in Bodnath. Plus the FOOD!
If you could make the workout “Alan”, what would it look like (movements, repetitions, etc)?
I do like me some burpees and throwing some weight around so something simple like:
21-15-9 for time of:
Power cleans
Bar facing burpees

Favorites!
Movie: Step Brothers
TV Show: Rick and Morty
Song: Always- blink 182
Book: Dune
Quote: If you don’t become the ocean, you’ll be seasick every day- Leonard Cohen
What daily habit has changed your life for the better?
Morning mindfulness. Taking the time in the morning to disconnect and be present helps set the tone for the day.
What future fitness goal are you currently working towards?
I recently passed my level 1 CrossFit coaching test and received my certification. I would love an opportunity to share my passion of fitness with others. I am going to continue to compete in CrossFit competitions to see how far I can push myself.

What is at the very top of your bucket list?
See the monarch Butterly migration in Michoacan

THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME ALAN! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AT FIT2LIVE!
