5 Fitness Misconceptions Part 2!

They’re still out there, more fitness misconceptions and false truths than we can count.

Here are 5 more fitness misconceptions we want to put an end to.

In case you missed part 1 you can find 5 more fitness misconceptions HERE.

#1. “I’m too tired to work out”

Believe it or not, you may feel tired because you don’t exercise.

Exercise can actually increase your energy levels and improve your mood.

Once you make exercise a habit, you’ll see a significant improvement in your energy levels.

We recommend at least 3 days a week of dedicated fitness time focusing on a good balance of cardio, bodyweight movements and strength training. Outside of those 3 days you should aim to make moving apart of your daily habits (go for walks, take the stairs, walk the dog, etc.).

#2. “I can’t afford a gym membership”

You don’t need a gym membership to stay fit.

Simple activities like walking, running, sit-ups, pull-ups, and push-ups require no equipment and are free.

With that being said, you typically get what you pay for.

At Fit2Live we give our members goals, plans and accountability to reach their goals.

Of course getting access to expert coaching and a community to support you comes at a cost, but it’s the guarantee that you’ll see results that you are paying for.

Paying $120 a year for a gym membership that you never use and doesn’t get results is $120 wasted.

Paying $1000 a year for a gym membership that gets you results, creates real sustainable change and changes your life forever is an investment in you being healthier for the rest of your life.

Think of all of the medical bills you’ll save in the long term ;).

#3. “I’m not athletic”

Fitness and movement are in your genes.

We all woke up, foraged and ran from animals to survive at some point in our past.

You may lack self-belief, but athleticism is not something you lack inherently.

Through consistent movement, quality coaching and a routine you enjoy you can become more athletic and fitness can become a part of you.

#4. “I’m too old to start working out”

Age is not a barrier to exercise.

Everyone can benefit from physical activity, regardless of their age.

Don’t let your age stop you from staying fit.

We have dozens of members over the age of 50 who show up to class at Fit2Live 3 times a week, they do what they can with what they’ve got and they are healthier for it.

#5. “I don’t know what to do”

It’s normal to feel unsure about what exercises to do when you first start.

Don’t be afraid to ask a friend who works out for help. They may be more than happy to guide you.

Fear of looking silly and having anxiety about trying something new is common.

We try our very best to lower that intimidation by starting all new members with our foundations program.

Slowly ramping up your fitness and building more confidence along the way.

Overcome these fitness misconceptions and gain more health at Fit2Live.
