Eating your vegetables should be priority #1 when it comes to preparing your plate for each meal. The portions of veggies should at least double that of your protein, fats and starches. Pile them high as long as you aren’t cooking them in fats and oils.
It’s certainly not an easy habit if you aren’t accustomed to adding vegetables with every meal.
Here are 4 tips to get you started with more vegetables, just like your momma always said, eat your fruits AND VEGETABLES!
Tip 1:
Add Veggies to your breakfast.
Tip 2:
Clean and cut your veggies ahead of time and store them at eye level in the refrigerator.
Tip 3:
Try roasting or air frying veggies for a crispy texture.
Tip 4:
Add frozen riced cauliflower to your smoothie or any recipe that calls for rice.
